HARTLEY HOUSE
The Hartley house is a newly developed modern beach cottage, bringing the warmth of home and the freshness of the beach together.
The open plan kitchen features a comfy breakfast counter, and is equipped with a gas stove/oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and a dishwasher in the scullery area.
The lounge offers cozy couch seating around the TV for rainy days,
with a quirky blue 'pop' in the office nook down the passage, and a guest bathroom.
The main bedroom has a king size bed, en-suite bathroom, and a TV with select DSTV channels. The main bedroom looks out over the garden with a sliding door onto the veranda.
The second bedroom has a double bed,
leading through stable sliding doors into a shared en-suite bathroom with the third bedroom.
The third bedroom has 2 single beds, that may be rearranged to a king-sized bed upon request.
The undercover veranda runs the full length of the house and is equipped with fans for an extra breeze during the hot summer. It has an 8-seater dining table, a large sitting area with outdoor patio couches, a dart board, and a hot outdoor shower around the right side of the house, all at your disposal, to ensure an unforgettable stay in a home away from home. All rooms have air conditioners and are serviced daily
THE HOUSE
Hartley house is centrally situated and within driving distance from the beach, all major diving operations and various restaurant options. Enjoy sundowners and a braai on your private veranda and garden.
ENTIRE HOME
You will have the entire house and garden to yourself
Internet and Wifi is available. However, we do not offer it as part of the service, as the internet stability in Sodwana is not very reliable and we can’t guarantee connectivity
A communal pool area is accessible to all guests.
GUEST ACCESS
Car wash available on site. A private Braai /BBQ area just off the veranda. All rooms are equipped with air conditioners and fans. TV in the main bedroom and lounge, with select DSTV channels. The house is serviced daily.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
The Hartley House is centrally situated on Brokensha Property, right in the heart of all the Sodwana Bay action, 1 minute from the main road. Safe walking distance from shops, restaurants and bars.
When driving into Sodwana Bay you will see the sign below, on the left. DONT MISS THIS TURN. If you get to E.A.T / Shark Life / Occi Lodge you have gone too far. (E.A.T has the most amazing burgers BTY! )
So, turn left and go down a short dirt road. Very suitable for all kinds of vehicles. We are the last silver gate at the end called Brokensha House.

Please note some general housekeeping. You will receive a remote on arrival to open and close the gate. Please remember to always close the gate when you leave, as it does not close on its own. We do have dogs and don't wish stray dogs to wonder in or ours to go out. Please know our power supply is from Eskom, our national electricity supplier and we are subject to load shedding and get switched off from time to time. We are also at the end of the power supply from Jozini and do experience end of line issues. Please bear with us as we do our best to keep it constant. We are currently installing a backup generator.
Cancellation Policy as recommended by SATST
*Self-catering Establishments*
During peak holiday periods (Easter, long weekends, mid-December to mid-January and the July school holiday period in KwaZulu Natal) full payment is required to secure the reservation. During the remainder of the year, a deposit of 50% is required to secure the booking and the balance is payable 30 days prior to arrival. *The deposit or full payment is forfeited when cancelled. Normally these establishments will refund you 90% of the funds paid if the unit is again let to someone else.
