Sea Escapes offer an interactive eco-diving experience and we consider ourselves privileged to be able to share this underwater paradise with the many sea creatures that have made Sodwana Bay their home.  We invite you to join us as we explore the many caves and overhangs in this underwater paradise.  Feel at one with the abundant fish life and marvel at the diverse topography of spectacular reefs that will leave you spellbound, compelled to return again and again to our warm ocean and isolated beaches.

We are serious about what we do, so safety is our main concern, above and below the waves.  Our 7.2m scuba diving boat is fully equipped with safety gear, life jackets, emergency buoys, medical kit and oxygen.  Lindsay, our skipper, is a qualified instructor, trained in first aid and oxygen administration, and dedicated to giving you an exciting and comfortable launch through the surf at Sodwana Bay.

Feel at one with the abundant fish life in this underwater paradise and marvel at the diverse topography of spectacular reefs that will leave you spellbound and compelled to return again and again to our warm ocean and isolated beaches.

For the adventurous diver, sightings of white tip or ragged tooth sharks, and whales are a frequent sight, and close encounters with moray eels, turtles and manta-rays are an awe inspiring delight.

bubbleSnorkeling

Experience the thrill of swimming with a dolphin or a whale shark, and many snorkelers have been delighted with the abundance of tropical fish living on our reefs.  Snorkeling off the beach is very accessible, and there are many sea creatures to be found, at no charge!

Be inspired by both land and ocean to love our Pale Blue Dot.

Bordered by golden beaches and the world’s highest naturally vegetated dunes which shelter the lush interior, the Sodwana area is surrounded by fertile swamps and sand forests with rare bird species, protected animal and plant life, as well as wide lakes and extensive river estuaries.

International and local eco-tourists marvel at the distinct ecosystems and prolific animal, bird and plant life to say nothing of the sight of humpback whales as they spout and gambol close to the shoreline en-route to their Southern Ocean feeding grounds and dolphins playing in the surf.
