Self Catering With Communal Kitchen Accommodation

It is a seven chalet lodge, two chalets are en suite thatched rondavels and the third is a log cabin. There is also a double storey thatched rondavel that can sleep eight people Three traditional Zulu huts make up the balance. In total the lodge can sleep twenty eight guests. The two en suite thatched chalets can sleep two adults and two small children (under the age of 12). The log cabin can sleep two adults and is five meters from the communal bathroom. Two of the Zulu huts sleeps four each and one sleeps two.
There is a communal kitchen/boma and braai area under thatch that is fully equipped and serviced daily and is for the use of the clients from the two en suite thatched chalets, log cabin and zulu huts. The double storey thatched rondavel has its own kitchen and two bathrooms. All units are complete with bedding, caravan fridge, kettle, mugs, mosquito nets and fans. The kitchens has all necessities. There is DSTV facility. Please remember to bring your own Smart Card.
The lodge is situated in a beautiful indigenous garden with over 70 different indigenous tree species, various rare birds and butterflies visit us daily. The lodge is +/- 5km from the beach. There is +/- 1km sand road to the lodge, which is easily accessible for all vehicles. The lodge is protected by 4 Boerboels. Your belongings should be safe.
We can also arrange other activities on your behalf. Such as:
- Scuba diving and snorkeling
- Kite surfing, surfing and body boarding.
- Deep sea and off shore fishing
- Dolphin and whale viewing
- 4-wheeler trails (wonderful for kids)
- Horse riding to beautifull lakes and though nature.
- Day trips to the surrounding game reserves.
- Eating out at the restaurants in the area.
The owners live on the premises. Please report all problems. There is safe parking for your cars and boats available at the lodge. Unfortunately power failures occur from time to time. Eskom! Please also note that Sodwana Bay is a low risk malaria area.
Rules:
- Quad bikes and boats are welcome but not to be started inside the premises.
- No loud music or excessive use of alcohol is allowed.
- No pets allowed - except should you want to feed my Boerboels.
- A 50% deposit is payable on the required date to secure your booking.
- Balance to be paid before or on arrival.
- In the event of a cancellation or a no show, the deposit will not be refunded. No refunds on early departure or unused facilities or activities.
- Only electronic payments and cash are accepted. No cheques are allowed.
- No credit card facilities available at the lodge.
- Time of arrival is 15h00. Time of departure is 10h00. In case of early arrivals and late departures, an extra night will be charged.
- With bookings over long weekends it will be required to take all nights over the long weekend by the person or group that made the booking.
- Right of admission is reserved.
What to bring:
- If staying with us, please bring along foods, beverages, towels, clothes, toiletries and camping chairs.
- Please make sure that all in your party have read the above and understand all rules.

- The camp consist of 6 Traditional Zulu Huts of which all has two loose standing single beds (double if moved next to each other) and a bunk bed (two single beds on top of each other). In total the camp can sleep 24 people. Bring your own bedding. If the camp is full you are welcome to bring more people, they must provide their own tents or caravans.
- There are 4 bathrooms with gas geyzers.
- There is a central lapha/kitchen area under thatch, that is fully equipped with fridges, freezers gas stoves, pots, pans, plates, mugs and cutlery.
- There is also a central boma/braai area. Bring your own camp chairs.
- The camp will be rented out to only one group at a time if there are 15 or more. In the case of less people in a single group we will fill the camp to our discretion.
- There is no electricity. A generator will provide light in the evenings as well as pressure for the showers.
- The camp is 300m from the main road to Jozini and 13,3 km out of Mbazwana on your way to Jozini. It is 30 km from Sodwana Bay.
- The camp is in a beautiful quiet, bushveld area with lots of huge indigenous trees and only the birds to wake you up in the mornings. This is an outdoor lover's paradise.
- Come and sleep in a Zulu Hut and experience Africa in its purist form. No noise, no electricity, no pollution only tranquillity, peace and beauty.
- We are also the owners of Exodus Adventures, the horse trail business in Sodwana Bay, which has featured in various television programmes and outdoor magazines.
